Several ICRC vehicles pass through Lachin-Khankandi road without hindrance

Vehicles belonging to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) continue to pass freely through the peaceful protest area on the Lachin-Khankandi road, News.Az reports.

On Sunday, conditions were created for five more vehicles belonging to the ICRC to pass through the protest area. The vehicles were moving from Khankandi towards Lachin.

This once again shows that the protesters do not obstruct the movement of vehicles used for humanitarian purposes.

The peaceful protests of Azerbaijani ecologists and young volunteers on the Lachin-Khankandi road passing through Shusha over the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits, especially the Gizilbulag gold and Damirli copper-molybdenum deposits located in the Azerbaijani territories, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily deployed, have been going on for the thirty-fifth straight day.

Despite the freezing weather, the protestors continue to chant various slogans in English and Russian calling for an end to ecocide against Azerbaijan, as well as demanding monitoring of Azerbaijan’s mineral deposits in the areas where the Russian peacekeeping contingent has been temporarily deployed.

The unimpeded passage of various types of vehicles, including ambulances and humanitarian convoys, is ensured, and the road is open for humanitarian purposes.
