Archeology museum to be created on ruins of unknown state in Azerbaijan

A museum will be created in the territory of the Oguz region of Azerbaijan.

The exposition of the museum will include the ruins of an unknown state, said Nasib Mukhtarov, chief of the Sheki, Gakh, Oguz expedition of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Science of Azerbaijan.

'Under support of the executive powers of Oguz the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Science of Azerbaijan is planning to create a museum on nine tumuli, where digs will further be held', Mukhtarov said, reported Trend.

The ruins of unknown ancient state dated to the second millennium BC were found in Azerbaijan in late 2010.

According to chief of the expedition, a tunnel extending to about a kilometer will be laid in the underground museum.
