The Russian Interior Ministry has found paintings worth 7,5 million roubles ($114,000) stolen from an art gallery last month, ministry spokesperson Elena Alexeyeva told TASS on Wednesday.

The three paintings included one by an unidentified French artist, a seascape by Ivan Aivazovsky, one of the greatest marine artists in history, and a portrait by Vasily Polenov, a prominent Russian 19th century painter, ITAR TASS reports. The paintings were stolen from the Tarusa picture gallery in the Kaluga region on July 9.

The first painting was found at a Moscow pawnshop while others were seized from two Kaluga residents, Alexeyeva said.
