Baku condemns terrorist attack in Turkey

We are against any kind of terrorism and strongly condemn the terrorist attacks.


The statement came from spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, Elman Abdullayev commenting on reports about blasts in Turkey.

Four blasts rocked the Reyhanli settlement of Turkey’s Hatay province on 11 May. Turkish media report that the terrorist attack occurred outside the municipality building.

“Reports about the terrorist attack in brotherly Turkey caused us an extreme pain. We strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Reyhanli and share the grief as a country that has repeatedly suffered from the terrorist attacks. We express our condolences to the people of Turkey and the families of the victims”, Elman Abdullayev said.

The death toll in Reyhanli has reached 40 and over 100 people are reportedly injured.

Turkish Premier Erdogan said the relevant announcements would be made after the situation on the issue is clarified.
