Georgia is to begin exporting wheat this year.

A special grain store will be built in Abasha District in western Georgia to store the harvested wheat.

The store was produced in Italy, and is at present being assembled in Abasha.

The government is proposing to farmers that they buy crops here and then sell them abroad.

The store will begin functioning on 15 September and will employ around 40 people.

Agriculture Minister Bakur Kvezereli observed the assembly process today.
