Turkish media reports police have detained two men of Iranian background after a firebomb attack on the Iranian Embassy in the capital Ankara.

The reports said the pair are suspected of throwing Molotov cocktails into the garden of the embassy on March 23.

A fire broke out as a result of the attack, and reports said the blaze was contained by embassy staff. There were no reports of injuries.

Unconfirmed reports said the two men allegedly carried out the attack in protest against the slow processing of their visa applications by the embassy.
