The number of cancelled domains from the beginning of the year made up 1,853, Gun.Az reported referring to the ICT Ministry.
In general, “.az” zone now has 15,051 domains.
The vast majority of domain names (13,951) were registered in ".az" domain. Besides, 641 domain named were registered in "com.az".
The rest of domain names go as follows:

10. .edu.az 147
“.mil.az”, “.samux.az”, “.zaqatala.az”, “.ganja.az”, “.shamaxi.az” və “.imishli.az” had only one domain per each.
In 1993, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) passed a decision to give “.az” domain zone to the Azerbaijani state.
