Azerbaijan improves its position by number of Facebook users in August

As of 31 August Azerbaijan accounted for 872,740 users of popular social network Facebook against 604,200 as of early January of this year and 279,100 in January 2011.

Socialbakers says that over the past six months the number of Facebook users in Azerbaijan has grown by 168,380 people or 23.97%, over the past three months-by 90,440 people or 11.59%.

The growth in users over the past month made 15,600 or 1.82% I two weeks-16,900 or 1.98%.

Over the past week the number of Facebook users has grown by 3,220 people or 0.37% in Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan is already 84th in the ranking of the number of Facebook users while in July the country was 85th, in June-86th, in May-87th and in January-91st.

Azerbaijan outstrips Georgia in the ranking (85th place), Kazakhstan (100), Estonia (105), Belarus (108), Lithuania (110), Armenia (113), Moldova (118), Uzbekistan (136), Kyrgyzstan (155), Tajikistan (172) and Turkmenistan (202).

10.51% of population (7.28% in January) and 23.66% (16.38% respectively) of the overall number of country’s internet users are registered on Facebook.
