CNN shows report on Chingiz Mustafayev

Leading world CNN International has shown report on life and death of brave reporter Chingiz Mustafayev and the video materials about Khojaly tragedy.

The material made by journalist Sevinj Osmangyzy reflected the materials by Chingiz Mustafayev about Armenian atrocities.

The e-campaign of the Armenian Assembly of America targeting the demonstration of this video material was unsuccessful. Members of the Armenian diaspora who gathered signatures against the demonstration of this material via internet have sent a letter to the leadership of the TV channel with the demand to ban the demonstration of the 'anti-Armenian programme'.

The author and journalist Sevinj Osmangyzy said the following about the preparation of the report: 'Though 18 years have passed since his death, no material about Mustafayev can excel what he did himself. In these materials he said his word. This is a rare event in the history of television journalist when the camera of the reporter fixed his death. This life is really a heroic manuscript'.

A greater part of reports prepared on ANS TV channel consists of video materials made by Chingiz Mustafayev. Osmangyzy considers that the demonstration of the material on CNN on the days of Mustafayev’s jubilee is symbolic: “Chingiz Mustafayev was a person who loved his homeland and was ready to sacrifice his life for it any moment. He fixed the events in his homeland with a great pain at heart to bring them to the attention of the world community. He considers that the symbol is that on the days of the 50th anniversary of the jubilee he will be commemorated not only by his countrymen but also by a wide world audience. This is what makes me happy'.

The video material is devoted to Khojaly tragedy made by the journalist. The report about Chingiz Mustafayev will be broadcast on one of the popular news programs of the channel- World View five years within four days. CNN International with the audience of over 800,000,000 people is broadcast via 23 satellites in 212 countries.
