Azerbaijani wrestler becomes world champion

Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler, Europe-2010 champion Hasan Aliyev, has won gold in the world championship in Moscow.

Aliyev who took part in the weight category below 60 kg defeated Tonimir Sokol (Croatia), Ivo Serafimov Angelov (Bulgaria), Ruslan Tiumenbayev (Kyrgyzstan), Almat Kepispayev (Kazakhstan) and Riutaro Matsumoto (Japan).

Two other representatives of Azerbaijan Saman Tahmasibi (84 kg) and Zaur Mehraliyev (120 kg) were not successful.

The Greco-Roman wrestling team of Azerbaijan already has two awards. The first was gained by Vitaliy Rahimov (66 kg) who became the bronze winner.
