The Statement says that e film named “Innocence of Muslims”, which was shot by film director Sam Basil, is the next indicator of Islamaphobia: “The demonstration of this film, which imaged Prophet Hz Muhammad (pbuh) is abusive, caused right dissatisfaction of Muslim world and killing the US embassy staff in Libya. The demonstrations and protests continue in all Muslim countries and cause killing of many innocent people.”
Racist and aggressive attitude of some Western regions, which introduce themselves as defender of human rights and democracy, against the Muslim people show the decline of democratic principles. Bombing holy pilgrimage in several Muslim countries, targeting Koran by servicemen, burning holy book by pastor and at last tragic complications of the film named “Innocence of Muslims”, which insulted the Islam Prophet (pbuh), weaken hopes for humanism, justice, equality and brotherhood and cause religious and national confrontation and disagreement in the world. We accept such facts as a violation of peace, deepening of polarization and as a danger for the inter-religion and inter-nations dialogue.”
The CMB strongly condemned religious and national extremism and demanded to involve saboteur forces – Sam Basil, Terry Johns and the others in court.
