The two-day conference involves the secretary general of the World Tourism Organization, vice president of Iran, Chairman of the Iranian Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization and guests at the ministerial level from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Latvia and Pakistan, Gun.Az reported.
Representatives of tourism companies of Korea, Russia, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Turkey, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Thailand, France, Germany and China, as well as world's leading media representatives have joined the conference.
Today it's considered to hold sessions on "Food and Tourism: Global trend and opportunities", "Forming the Silk Road as a leading network of the culinary space" and "Food for development".
On the second day of the event, round tables will be held on "the Silk Road on global trip media" and "Digital period: Social media and trip".
Within the event, Azerbaijani and Turkish cuisines will be presented, master classes will be held and wines of Azerbaijani and Georgian production will be degusted.
Azerbaijan is a member of the Silk Road Program of UNWTO.
The goal of the Silk Road Program, involving 28 countries, is to develop tourism along the Silk Road.
