State Committee for Standardization, Metrology, and Patents has presented Poll Center established under support of Technical Assistance Society of Germany.
Chief of department for technical regulation and standardization Sabig Abdullayev said that the center was created in accordance with the requirements of the Agreement on technical barriers in the trade of the World Trade Organization and is an important step for Azerbaijan’s WTO membership.
“Within the opening of the Poll Center, producers, entrepreneurs, exporters and importers functioning in the country can apply there and get domestic and international standard document”, noted Abdullayev.
In particular, the services provided by the center envision the notifications and coordinating documents on changes and innovations in procedures of technical regulation and assessment of compliance, influencing the trade partners of Azerbaijan in WTO, provision of strategic information, related to design of goods and services, production, marketing, import and export, provision of answers to technical polls, related to different issues, including national, foreign and international standards, as well as procedures of technical regulation and assessment of compliance in Azerbaijan and abroad.
