Mehriban Aliyeva
Azerbaijan`s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva has met rector of Turkey`s Bilkent University Ali Dogramaci.
Mehriban Aliyeva expressed regret over the fact Mr. Dogramaci is visiting Azerbaijan in connection with the death of outstanding musician Server Ganiyev.
'The death of the prominent musician is a big loss both for Azerbaijan and Turkey.'
Mrs. Aliyeva recalled that the greater part of Ganiyev`s life was linked with the Bilkent University. The first lady praised Mr. Dogramaci`s support for the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
She said the memory of Mr. Dogramaci`s father, Ihsan Dogramaci, is very dear to the people of Azerbaijan. The Bilkent University rector said he witnesses Azerbaijan`s achievements every time he comes here.
Mr. Dogramaci said Server Ganiyev made a tremendous contribution to promoting Azerbaijan on the global scale, in particular in Turkey.
