Chairman of the Azerbaijani-Belgian Friendship Society Ayhan Demirchi has told the statement to Gun.Az, while commenting on the article, published on The Telegraph.
"Iran is already a state interested in exacerbating the situation in Azerbaijan. The independent foreign policy of Azerbaijan cannot but ail Iran. In addition, it sees the Azerbaijani state as the main cause of the uprising national movement in South Azerbaijan. It irritates Iran.
But today levers of Iran to influence Azerbaijan are weak, and the last arrests show that Iran has no capacity to complicate situation in Azerbaijan," Demirchi said.
