'Azerbaijan hosted an international contest several days ago.

All observers said that the event, which was attended by 42 countries of Europe, was organized at high level', the Parliament’s Speaker Ogtay Asadov said at the organization’s plenary meeting, APA reports.

The Speaker said that this grandiose contest caused discontent in some anti-Azerbaijan forces: “We heard the opinions in the press of several countries. It was a jealousy to Azerbaijan”.

Asadov condemned the European Parliament’s resolution adopted on May 24: “Unfortunately, the resolution against Azerbaijan was adopted only with the participation of 56 of 750 deputies. I condemn this resolution”.

Asadov said that the resolution was signed by those, who were jealous of Azerbaijan’s independent policy, anti-Azerbaijan forces and several forces falling under the influence of Armenian lobby.

Samad Seyidov and Azay Guliyev also sounded critical opinions concerning the resolution.
