Azerbaijan reaches rapid development - UN resident-coordinator

'Azerbaijan faced big difficulties during first years of independency.

The country was in war time. There were refuges and IDPs. For all that, Azerbaijan has achieved rapid development', UN Resident Coordinator for Azerbaijan Fikret Akcura said at the presentation of the UNDP’s 20th anniversary Human Development Report held in Baku.

Akcura said that this year Azerbaijan entered 'High Human Development' category:

'Azerbaijan overcame China and Korea in global space as well. We will continue cooperation with our partners in Azerbaijan. UN brings the best practice to Azerbaijan as an example. We will present comprehensive and deep approach for country to develop more systematic form this viewpoint'.
