Belarusian president committed to cooperation with Azerbaijan

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has confirmed his commitment to further development of relations with Azerbaijan in all spheres.

The statement came from Lukashenko on Tuesday at a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who arrived in Minsk today, the Belarusian news agency BELTA reported.

"You have come to a very close and friendly country where you are loved and respected for the great things you have done for our country, sometimes unconventional, to support our country in difficult times, it had to do with the question of independence. And Belarusians know it”, Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian president personally met Ilham Aliyev, who arrived in Belarus on an official two-day visit.
