Mikheil Saakashvili
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili visited the resort of Sairme of Imereti Region in Western Georgia.
He inspected the infrastructural projects carried out in the resort situated on the height of 915-950 m from sea.
An investment of USD 9 million has been made in rehabilitation of the resort. Gel 5 million was allocated from the state budget of Georgia for infrastructural projects in the resort.
As reported, a number of tourists arriving in Sairme is expected to increase to 8 000 this year.
After viewing the resort, the president met locals and talked to them about prospects of development of tourism and employment capacity of the country.
