'Georgia, Russia have to sith with the collaboration table'

Finland supported Georgia with other countries at UN General Assembly, - Finish Minister of Foreign affairs reported.

He remembered the events in 2008, when he saw how two trucks were taking people from conflict zone.

“This fact left unforgettable and very hard impression. We have to do our best to return these people in their homes. UN General Assembly resolution is another step towards it”, -  Alexander Stubb declared.

As he mentioned, conflict resolution has three stages: the first is tension, the second is discharging and the third is resolution of the conflict. The third stage is the most difficult and long process.

“Our representative in UN is doing everything to help Georgia solve the conflict. Also there exists the Geneva Format that is very important. Georgia has to continue economical modernization that will help to enclose to EU, to get the member of EU. And at least, it is the fact that Georgia and Russia have to sith with the collaboration table”, - Stubb declared.

UN General Assembly supported the resolution, acknowledging IDPs right to come back to their homes in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, despite their ethnicity.

Resolution expresses concern about the violent change of demographical situation in Georgia.

50 countries supported the resolution, 17 were against and 86 refrained from voting.
