Woods planted on 102 hectares this year

In the first half of this year employees of the Lankaran enterprise for woods protection and reproduction planted trees at an area of 102 hectares.

New fences extending to 3,500 meters are build for protection and anti-fire mineral strips are laid at an area of 1500 meters.

The Woods Development Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources has allocated 863 cubic meters of timber produced as a result of the sanitary wood cutting for the needs of the region.

There is a plan to provide schools and kindergartens with 380 cubic meters of timber and 50 cubic meters for military units for preparations for winter.
