Assets of International Bank of Azerbaijan increased by almost 20%

As of 1 April, the assets of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) amounted to AZN 6,227bn.

In annual terms, assets increased by 19.1%, the bank said.

The credit portfolio of IBA increased compared to the first quarter of 2012 by 28.8%, and by 1 April 2013 amounted to AZN 4.02bn. Loans issued to individuals amounted to AZN 476.1m.

The total capital of the bank was equal to AZN 747.66m, which is 78.3% higher than on 1 April 2012.

The authorized capital of IBA for the year has increased by 38% and brought to AZN 331.4m.

At the end of the first quarter of 2013, ratio of ROA (return on assets) amounted to 0,20%, ROE (return on equity) - 2.16% vs. 0.14% and 1.77% as of 1 April 2012, respectively.
