In December this year, a contract on opening of direct flights will be signed between Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The statement came from Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Fahd bin Ali al-Dusari in his interview to Gun.Az.
He noted that the signing will be held as part of the International Air Transportation Organization's conference in Riyadh.
An Azerbaijani delegation will head to Riyadh to this end. The diplomat said that his country attaches importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan in all spheres.
"Therefore, this contract will be signed namely with Azerbaijan out of CIS countries."
He added that not only Azerbaijan, but CIS countries will use these flights.
