Belarus, Azerbaijan expand leasing cooperation

Belarus and Azerbaijan create a legal basis for the expansion of leasing activity, Belarusian agency BELTA reports citing to the press service of the government.

To this end, a draft intergovernmental agreement have been worked out on the establishment of  favorable legal, economic and organizational conditions for the expansion of leasing activity.

The draft agreement is approved by the Council of Ministers on 23 August.  Belarusian Economy Minister Nikolai Snopkov is empowered to hold negotiations on the draft agreement.

The Belarusian capital hosted 7th session of the intergovernmental commission of Azerbaijan and Belarus on trade and economic cooperation. The parties agreed to promote a number of areas of co-production, mainly in engineering.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has arrived in Minsk today. During his meetings with Alexander Lukashenko the sides are expected to discuss prospects of trade and economic relations, scientific, technological and social cooperation.
