Azerbaijan sees 0.7% inflation in August

In August consumer goods’ prices and service tariffs rose by 0.7% compared with July.

The statement reads that in August prices on foodstuffs rose 1%, nonfoods by 0.2% and services by 0.2%.

'The growth in prices on beef, cheese,  kefir, eggs, butter and vegetable oil, tomatoes, cucumbers, bananas, lemon, potato, cabbage, beetroot and carrot was observed in the reporting month', the news release says.

The statement notes that among nonfoods, the growth in prices was fixed in building materials, while decrease was fixed in clothes and footwear.
