'Bread production in our country is the only sphere where there is no monopoly.

Today, almost everything who wants can produce bread and sell it without any problem', said Azerbaijan’s doctor of economic sciences Oqtay Ahverdiyev.

He said the real market competition has been created in this market segment, therefore, prices on bread will not be increased.

'This is, in fact, an available sphere, since it is not controlled by one or several people and as a rule, prices are stable and even inclined to drop rather than increase where there is competition'.

Ahverdiyev said inflation rate will be 7-8% and will keep being so by the end of the year.

'Thus anyway, the two-digit inflation rate will not be observed in the country. I would like to say that the price on foodstuffs start growing at the end of the year with insignificant growth observed in services too'.
