According to a statement in SOCAR, the Kulevi terminal and port continues activity in the normal regime. In August it received 306,109 tons of oil and oil products and shipped 315,417 tons.
On the whole, in eight months the terminal received 2,325,000 tons of oil and oil products. The Kulevi Black Sea terminal belonging to SOCAR locates in Hob region of Georgia, near the Kulevi terminal. The volume of the reservoir park of the terminal equals 320,000 cubic meters with possible increase to 380,000 cubic meters. Two moorings for filling a tanker with a deadweight of 100,000 tons with oil products are envisioned for oil operations. The capacity of the moorings is 8,000-12,000 cubic meters.
The terminal started crude oil transshipment in May. The crude is produced from Tengiz field in Kazakhstan and belongs to Tengizchevroil. Oil is transported to Kulevi by Azerbaijani and Georgian railroads.
