Azerbaijani Music Days start in Ukraine

Firangiz Alizade stressed the high prestige of the Ukrainian classic music and Azerbaijani composers.

The Ukrainian National Philharmonic Hall has hosted a press conference dedicated to the opening of the Azerbaijani Music Days in Ukraine, which run from 1 to 4 April.

Participants of the event are the Ukrainian Culture and Tourism Ministry, the Ukrainian National Composers Association, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kiev, the Azerbaijani Composers Union, the Muslim Magomayev Azerbaijani Cultural Centre, the United Diaspora of Ukrainian Azerbaijanis and the All-Ukrainian Public Organization, AzerTAj reports.

Addressing the conference, Chairperson of the Azerbaijan Composers Union Firangiz Alizade stressed the high prestige of the Ukrainian classic music and Azerbaijani composers. She noted that during the music days, the Ukrainian listeners will listen to compositions of Asaf Zeynalli, Gara Garayev, Fikrat Amirov and others. They will also witness musicians performing with our national folk instruments.

Thus on 2 April, the concert hall of the Ukrainian National Composers Association will host a chamber music concert. The next day the National Philharmonic Hall will host a symphonic concert and on 4 April, the building of the Ukrainian National Composers Association will host the final concert.

A round table on "Ukrainian-Azerbaijani musical instruments" will be held as part of the event.
