The Hraparak newspaper reports that restrictions on some food products have recently been in effect in the Armenian army.

Soldiers are now “consuming” the pickles produced by the Artfood Company, with their shelf-life expired. For months soldiers have not been provided with bedclothes. Moreover, now they do not get their portions of sugar. The Parliament member and businessmen Samvel  Aleksanyan sup[plies sugar top the Armenian army. It does not mean, however, that he “is consumed by greed” now.

The newspaper’s source report that the commander and ration store managers of military units just embezzle the funds provided for sugar, palming off cheap biscuits on the soldiers.
