A football rematch between the Armenian and Georgian youth teams ended with an incident.

A football rematch between the Armenian and Georgian youth teams held in the Locomotive Stadium after Mikheil Meskhi in Tbilisi later on Tuesday ended with an incident which could turn into a mass scuffle, reports Novosti Gruzia.

The rematch took place in the framework of Euro-2011 Qualifier with the Armenian team beating the Georgians at a 2:0 score.

A joyful dance by the Armenian football players following their victory enraged the Georgian audience to the extent that a group of the Georgian audience started to clarify relations with the Armenian ones.

The coaches of the two teams managed to intervene timely and to prevent the word exchange growing into a scuffle.

The patrol police undertook the situation and ensured the security of the Armenian football players and fans.
