A total of 1,992 Azerbaijani citizens worked for BP-Azerbaijan in late 2009.
Some 84% of the company's specialist staff are local employees, many of whom occupy leading positions, according to the BP-Azerbaijan news service.
In 2010 the company intends to continue to meet its obligations to employ local specialists.
To this end, it will continue its large scale training programs in the educational centre at the Sangachal terminal.
