The Azerbaijan International Operating Company plans to produce 42.1m tonnes of oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG)offshore field in 2010.
Oil production this year is forecast at an average of 854,000 barrels per day, BP-Azerbaijan said in a statement. Production last year averaged 817,700 barrels per day.
Oil production this year from the Chirag platform will be 90,900 barrels per day on average, Central Azeri 184,200 bpd, Western Azeri 285,700 bpd, Eastern Azeri 158,100 bpd and Deepwater Guneshli 135,100 bpd.
In 2009 the five platforms, Chirag, Central Azeri, Western Azeri, Eastern Azeri and deepwater Guneshli, produced a total of 298m barrels of oil (40.3m tonnes), an average of 817,700 barrels per day.
Production from the Chirag platform was 106,100 bpd on average, Central Azeri 190,000 bpd, Western Azeri 268,400 bpd, Eastern Azeri 135,800 bpd and Deepwater Guneshli 116,600 bpd.
Increased investment
BP said that $1.584bn will be invested in the ACG project in 2010, while operational expenditure will be $587m.
Total investments in Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, the South Caucasus and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipelines and Shah Deniz gas field, operated by BP, were $1.439bn in 2009.
Investment in ACG last year was $1.051bn, less than the planned investment of $1.639bn. Operational expenditure was $659m, less than the $839m planned.
Investment in the BTC oil pipeline was $92m in 2009, less than the $143m planned.
Investments in the Shah Deniz project were $289m, compared to a plan of $369m. Shah Deniz's operating costs were $192m, less than the $322m planned.
Investment in the South Caucasus gas pipeline was $7m, less than the $15m planned for 2009.
