BTC to export 23 mln oil barrels in March

Azerbaijani profit oil will make 17.4 mln barrels (2.28 mln tons) of the overall export volume of March oil.

There is a plan to export 23 mln oil barrels (3.026 mln tons) from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunesli fields by the BTC pipeline in March, according to sources in the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan.

The sources noted that Azeri profit oil will make 17.4 mln barrels (2.28 mln tons) of the overall export volume of March oil.

In 2009 the BTC pipeline exported 36.2 mln tons of oil. On the whole, it has pumped 106.5 mln tons of oil since the start of the pipeline operation.

The shareholders of BTC Co are BP (30.1%), SOCAR (25%),

Chevron (8.9%), Statoil (8.71%), TPAO (6.53%), Itochu (3.4%), Amerada Hess (2.36%), ENI

(5%), ConocoPhilliрs (2.5%), Inрex (2.5%), Total (5%).
