Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said a new armed conflict in the region was possible.
"A new invasion is possible", Mikheil Saakashvili said at the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London on Wednesday.
Saakashvili stunned the audience by comparing himself to Winston Churchill. "I am considered hot-tempered and belligerent, but Churchill, too, was initially assessed by American circles as hot-tempered and belligerent," the Georgian leader said.
He said Georgian combat units would soon be redeployed to the Afghan province of Helmand where American and British troops are currently engaged in a big operation.
