Electronic mass medias are leading in this fight excelling the printed editions by the speed of information delivery and by most other criteria, said Vusala Mahirgizi, director of APA news agency, at the meeting with the participants of the Winter University for Young Leaders.
She said the debates over whether blogs can be considered mass media bodies or not are still underway in the world.
"As is known, mass medias have their laws and standards of activity", Mahirgizi said.
The main news agencies are in Azerbaijani and Russian in Azerbaijan. "Our main readers are citizens at the age of 18-35", she said.
"It is unreal to create such news agencies as world famous Reuters and France press in Azerbaijan today. Despite Sweden is among the most developed countries in the world, this country has no news agency that would be popular on the international arena. Meanwhile, Washington Plus is popular throughout the world, because this newspaper is published in the US capital city", Vusala Mahirgizi said.
