One person drowned and another person is missing following storm-triggered floods.

Turkey's state-run news agency says one person drowned and another person is missing following storm-triggered floods that hit a road near the Mediterranean resort of Antalya.

The Anatolia news agency says rescuers discovered a body inside a car that was apparently dragged away by the floods, after the waters began receding on Tuesday.

The agency says authorities on Monday rescued a man who managed to leave his car and climb onto a tree in gushing waters, but his companion was reported missing.

The storm and torrential rains caused three streams to overflow and flood a road linking the resorts of Antalya and Manavgat.
