Georgian opposition party signed cooperation treaty with Russia`s ruling party

The Georgian-Russian agreement determines the scheme of information exchange.

Ex-PM of Georgian government, who now leads the opposition movement for Fair Georgia, Zurab Noghaideli has signed a cooperation treaty with the Russian ruling party, the United Russia.

The agreement determines the scheme of information exchange. It says that the sides will permanently exchange delegations on various levels; they will hold discussions between the experts of the sides and other bilateral events.

Boris Grizlov, the chairperson of the faction United Russia in the Russian DUMA, signed the document in Moscow today. They say the document is a factual agreement on political support. Noghaideli said the fame and the power of Russian Prime Minister Putin would help him to succeed in future elections.

In his turn, Russian senior MP, Boris Grizlov called upon other opposition parties to follow Noghaideli and cooperate with Russian political forces. He said he would enjoy responses from influential opposition parties in Georgia, who have guaranteed electorate in the country.

Zurab Noghaideli arrived in Russia yesterday. Within the visit, Noghaideli will hold business meetings in Moscow. Today he was presented with an audio CD of a son written by Georgian singer Soso Pavliashvili and Russian musician, Oleg Gazmanov. They say the song is about the friendship of Georgian and Russian peoples.
