Dmitry Medvedev and Felipe Gonzalez will discuss on Tuesday the situation around a European security treaty.

Dmitry Medvedev and Felipe Gonzalez, who chairs the EU group of "wise men", will discuss on Tuesday the situation around a European security treaty as well as Russia-EU visa issues, a Kremlin source said.

"All these topics will be considered in coordination with Russia's economic development strategy until 2020 and the EU development strategy for 2010-2020," the source said.

The sides will also touch upon EU reform.

The 12-strong group of "wise men" analyzes European integration prospects, addresses issues of the EU social and economic development and its security.

The group was created on an initiative from French President Nicolas Sarkozy in late 2007. Gonzalez officially became its chairman in late 2008.
