SOCAR increases oil products manufacture in January

This January the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) increased oil refining by 6.6% (in 2009, the decline made up 17.9% against the 2008 index.

SOCAR informs that it was refined 563,250 tons of oil this January versus 528,430 tons last December.

The best oil refining indicators for 2009 was registered in January (580,750 tons) and for 2008 in December (601,960 tons).

Last year’s refining totaled 6.032 million tons. The target for petroleum products manufacture for 2009 (6.21 million tons) was implemented by 97.1%.

In 2008, oil processing reached 7.347 million tons of oil and the 2009 indicator makes 82.1% of this volume.

This January, it was produced 104,220 tons of motor petrol (versus 105,680 in December 2009), 22,860 tons of straight-run gasoline (22,540 tons),

217,440 tons of diesel fuel (212,440 tons), 11,600 tons of furnace fuel (12,400 tons).

In 2009, it was manufactured 1.235 million tons of motor petrol, 232,560 tons of straight-run gasoline, 2.219 million tons of diesel fuel, 272,440 tons of furnace fuel.

This January, as well as in December, kerosene was not produced, oil bitumen production totaled 9,410 tons (versus 11,860 last December). Their production over 2009 reached 6,520 tons and 236,360 tons respectively.
