SOCAR exported 29.865 million tons of oil in 2009 and 22.588 million tons in 2008.
This January the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 2.799 million tons of oil via various routes and lowered its export by 43.03% against the last December’s indicator of 4.9 million tons when oil export record for 2009 was registered.
SOCAR exported 29.865 million tons of oil in 2009 and 22.588 million tons in 2008.
The SOCAR Department of Marketing & Economic Operations (DMEO) informs that this January the Company exported 2.3 million tons via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, 129,765 tons via Baku-Novorossiysk (northern route) pipeline, 326,186 tons via Baku-Supsa oil pipeline and there was no export via Baku-Batumi railway.
For the past year SOCAR’s export reached 24.59 million via BTC, 2.479 million via Baku-Novorossiysk, 2.79 million via Baku-Supsa. Export by rail was not carried out.
In December, 2.058 million tons were carried via BTC, 139,442 tons via Baku - Novorossiysk, 245,955 tons via Baku-Supsa.
Over 2008 oil export via BTC was 20.469 million tons, Baku-Novorossiysk 1.386 million tons, via Baku-Supsa 407,101 tons, by rail via Baku-Batumi route 326,030 tons.
In 2007, SOCAR exported 6.5 million tons of oil via BTC and Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) 21.75 million tons, via Baku-Novorossiysk 1.228 million tons and 999,983 tons, via Baku-Batumi 221,258 tons and 434,592 tons respectively. In 2007, only AIOC exported oil via Baku-Supsa – 49,174 tons.
