Prepaid TAC cards can now be used to make phone calls in the main cities of Azerbaijan.
The Mingachevir telecommunication network has just been connected to the TAC Kart system.
"Today the prepaid telephone card system is available in Ganja, Sumgayit, Guba, Sheki, Shirvan and in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic," sources in the Aztelekom production association said.
The TAC Kart system will cover the entire republic, Aztelekom said.
The prepaid TAC Kart allows trunk and international calls to be made if there is sufficient balance on the card. The card also allows users to send text messages via the Internet.
Cards can be bought for 2, 4 and 10 manats. The user activates the card by calling 124 or 181 and then makes calls by dialling 123.
