Shahin Novrasli
Pianist Shahin Novrasli will perform a fusion of jazz and traditional mugam at Charlie Wright's International Centre in London on 10 February.
The concert is part of a festival of Azerbaijani art held by the Buta cultural centre.
Shahin Novrasli will be accompanied by his brothers Arslan and Nurlan on traditional stringed instruments, the tar and kamancha. Kamal Nuriyev will play the oud, a forerunner of the lute, Aydin Yanayev the double-reeded balaban, Emin Agayev the traditional nagara drum, Alexander Mashin percussion, Yevgeny Strigayev saxophone and bassist Malcolm Creese.
The concert is a charity event to raise money for cancer patients in Baku.
