Azerbaijan’s Taxes Ministry is ready to further overhaul the single window system during the state business registration.
According to Zaur Fatizade, chief of department of the Taxes Ministry, the ministry may start preparations for introduction of online business registration in 2010.
“Legislative changes and settlement of technical issues will be needed for the purpose. I think it will be possible to complete preliminary works and start online registration which will cut the registration process (under the ideal preparation of all documents) to 15-20 seconds”, Fatizade said.
Meanwhile, the International Financial Corporation positively assessed the existing system and recommended moving to the application system in registration.
“It is necessary to move to the application system gradually because today business is not ready to it, as questions about the real whereabouts of an enterprise and about where it will pay taxes and so on will immediately emerge Therefore, we cannot fully reject the obligatory notarization of documents submitted for registration”, Fatizade said.
The single window allowed registering of 89.000 businesses through 2 years of functioning.
