Final resolution on Azerbaijani proposed Transeurasian superline to be adopted

The aim of the project is to create the information superline between West and East.

The final resolution on the project of the global information exchange "Transnational Eurasian Information superline" is expected to be adopted in the coming months, according to a statement from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Communication and Information technologies.
The draft resolution on TASIM was presented for consideration in the UN General Assembly. The draft resolution on the initiative proposed by Azerbaijan was accepted unanimously.

The aim of the project is to create the information superline between West and East, facilitation of access to ICT potential of the regional countries. The line will link the Eastern European, CIS countries, Turkey, Iran, Central-Asian countries including Afghanistan and Pakistan with the outlet to China and India and will also create conditions for launching the new transnational giant information network in this region. The project will cover more than 20 countries of the region.
