Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday it has no problem sending its low enriched uranium abroad for nuclear exchange.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced the decision in a live TV interview.

"Some countries have agreed to engage in nuclear cooperation with Iran but this has annoyed some, like Britain and the Zionist regime, because they don't want confrontation to turn into cooperation," Ahmadinejad added.

He went on to say that Iran has the technology to enrich uranium to a purity of 20 percent itself but the Islamic Republic sees no obstacle preventing nuclear cooperation with the world's nuclear countries.

He said Iran will have "no problem" giving the West its low-enriched uranium and taking it back several months later when it is enriched by 20 percent.

"If we allow them to take it, there is no problem. We sign a contract to give 3.5 percent enriched uranium and receive 20 percent enriched one after four or five months," Ahmadinejad said.

He dismissed concerns by what he called "colleagues" that the West would not return the uranium, saying Iran would respond to that by continuing to produce its own enriched uranium.

The plan for shipping the low enriched uranium abroad to develope nuclear fuel for Tehran research reactor.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad also said he will announce good news about "great achievements" by Iranian scientists in the aerospace industry in the near future.

He made the remarks in a live interview with Channel One of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting on Tuesday night.

The president said in spite of all pressures, conspiracies and plots with the help of world main media networks, the revolution continues its way.

He said that the enemies of the revolution started their enmity against us with their whole potentials and abilities; economic blockade, sanctions, war, insult and whatever they could, but now Iran stands in a strong position.
