Oman speaks for the peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict, Oman FM Yusif bin Alivi bin Abdullah.

"Nagorno Karabakh is an Azerbaijani land and we hope this conflict will be settled peacefully", Oman FM Yusif bin Alivi bin Abdulla told in Baku Tuesday.

The four resolutions of the UN Security Council for release of the Karabakh region and other occupied lands are still not fulfilled by Armenia.

The Oman FM is paying an official visit to Baku. The main aim of the visit held at the invitation of Azerbaijani FM is the development of the bilateral relations between the countries.

"The countries maintain several agreements on bilateral cooperation and have adopted the plan on development of mutual ties. We are glad that the Azerbaijani embassy will start functioning in Oman and we are planning to open our embassy in Baku soon", he said.

The Oman FM visited the memorial to Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev. The negotiations with Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mammadyarov are scheduled for today.
