Airplane from Pakistan to Britain makes forced landing in Baku

A passenger airplane flying from Pakistan to London made forced landing at the international airport named after Heydar Aliyev in Baku.

"The aircraft from Pakistan to London at 6.00 last Wednesday", sources in the Health Ministry of Azerbaijan told Thursday.

The Pakistani citizen - newborn Elisha Khalid (3 months and 20 days old) - was brought to the clinic of the scientific research pediatric institute in Baku with signs of convulsions and high temperature. The newborn was placed at the reanimation clinic where he was provided with necessary medical aid.

Blood samples have been taken from the newborn and his family to reveal H1N1 virus but no virus was revealed.

The newborn's state is stable. The child is placed in the intensive therapy department where he is provided with necessary medical aid, sources in the health ministry said.

Officials of the Pakistani embassy in Azerbaijan thanked the Health Ministry for provided assistance.
