Resolution affirming US support territorial integrity of the country of Georgia introduced to Senate for adoption.

A resolution affirming US support for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the country of Georgia and calling upon Russia to remove its occupying forces from Abkhazia and South Ossetia, has been introduced to Senate for adoption.

Both Republican and Democratic Parties participated in the preparation of the document, which refers to the occupation of Georgia by the Russian federation and condemns aggression of Russia as a side of the conflict

The document will be discussed at the committees and submitted for adoption by the end of May. The resolution has been initiated and presented by US Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC).
