The exhibition titled “Azerbaijan – Land of Fires” was organized in central library of the city on this occasion, the embassy’s press office reports.
The exhibit included works by modern Azerbaijani artists, photographs, books and booklets reflecting past and present way of development of the country as well as Heydar Aliyev’s life and activities
The exhibition was opened by Azerbaijani ambassador to Hungary Vilayat Guliyev and Droy Mayor Balash Robert Shimon.
Azerbaijani diplomat noted the big role that President Heydar Aliyev has played in the modern history of Azerbaijan, in promoting political and economic independence of the state, preparing and implementing a successful oil strategy.
The exhibition will last two weeks. Dyor Mayor's Office and the regional offices of Hungarian Chamber of Commerce organized a series of additional measures as part of the Day of Azerbaijan.
