Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry sent a letter of protest to the top management of Euronews concerning the report on Nagorno Karabakh.

Spokesman for the ministry Elkhan Polukhov said the ministry expressed strong protest against the unilateral and preconceived report.

“It could be valued as a report out of journalistic standards because it described position of only one side. The report demonstrated open form of unilateral position. The embassy of Azerbaijan in France was also informed about the incident and will take necessary measures to investigate the issue”.

Euronews TV channel head office is located in Lion, France.

The diplomat said after they would accept reply from Euronews and the issue would be fully investigated, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will express its official position.

Euronews showed Nagorno Karabakh as a separated part of Azerbaijan and leader of the separatist regime as the “president of Nagorno Karabakh Republic”.

Opinion of Azerbaijani officials on the issue was not revealed.
